The below is a work in progress.....

• If someone wants specifically to donate via PayPal the new way of doing this is to use the PayPal Giving Fund link: http://go.nirc.edu/paypl We pay no fees on this.
  
• Another option would be for them to send it to PayPal the old way telling them to send the payment to nirc@nirc.edu. If they mark it "friends and family" it is fee free otherwise we pay the PayPal non-profit fee on the transaction.

What happens next depends on how they sent up the money.

New Way:

• PayPal sends them a tax receipt.
• PayPal Giving Fund holds onto the money till the 25th of the month.
• It then transfers any payments automatically to our PayPal account at nirc@nirc.edu as a lump sum.
• We request they transfer it to our bank.
• We download the activity list and if we can determine the account we enter it into that account otherwise we enter it into anonymous.
• Bank should be e-commerce and payment type should be PayPal Giving Fund. Since PayPal already gave them a tax receipt we do not. We can send them a thank you.

Old way:

• PayPal notifies us at nirc@nirc.edu that we have money.
• They withhold any fees and we request that the balance be dropped into our bank account
• We enter it into JL as bank=e-commerce, payment type=PayPal and they get a receipt.
