I keep getting errors on certain websites: "your connection is not private", "NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID"

Your "security certificate" may need to be updated.
Note: the instructions are different if you are using Firefox.
- Download the new certificate file by clicking on cert.cer in the attachments section of this page which looks like this:
- this will either download a certificate "cert.cer" or will bring up a save box. Save the file and click on it to run it.
- This will bring up a security warning. Click on open.
- This will bring up the "certificate" dialog:
- Click on Install Certificate
- In the next screen leave current user selected and click next.
- In the next screen select the option to "place all certificates in the following store" and then click on Browse.
- In the next screen select: Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click OK
- Click Next
- Click Finish
- You will see the below Security Warning:
- Click on Yes.
- It will confirm the successful import. Click OK
- One more time Click on Install Certificate
- In the next screen leave current user selected and click next.
- In the next screen select the option to "place all certificates in the following store" and then click on Browse.
- Select: Trusted Publishers and click OK
- Click Finish
- Click on OK
- Click on OK
- Log out or restart the machine and then log back in and test the website.
